H1B visa
- This non-immigrant visa gives you the opportunity to work for an US employer for up to 3 years with the possibility of extension up to 6 years! This visa type allows US employers to hire talent from outside the country for job positions that require special technical skills. Immediate family members of H1B visa holders (only spouses and kids) can apply for a H4 Visa and live in the states but will not have a work status.
H2B visa
- US employers employ non-agricultural workers temporarily under this visa type. It is one of the most popular visa types for non-technical employees without the dual intent for a Green Card. This visa has a validity of 3 years and immediate family (spouses and kids) will be able to apply for a dependant H4 Visa.
TN visa
- As per the NAFTA agreement, non-immigrant professionals from Canada and Mexico can apply for a TN visa. This allows one to be part of a full-time or a part-time study in the US. TN visas are valid for 3 years but dual intent is not permitted.
L visa
- L visa types are a boon to companies operating both on US soil and its home country! L1-A allows a firm to move an executive or manager level employee to its base of operations in the US for as long as 7 years. This allows foreign companies to open new branches in the US without the need to hire new employees but rather use existing talent working abroad. L1-B allows transfer of an employee with special skills while L2 can be got for dependants of the L1 visa holders.
O1 visa
- US identifies extraordinary achievers and their work in popular fields like arts, sciences, business, entertainment industry or even sports and athletics. These individuals can apply and get an O visa with a validity that extends up to 3 years.
R1 visa
- Ministers of religion have the honor of holding a R1 visa in the US provided they preach or stay employed in religious activities for an average of 20 hours a week. Spouses and unmarried children of R1 visa holders can avail a R2 visa status.
