Responsibilities:

• Prepare a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and creativity.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality by conducting regular inventory checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety standards at all times.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
• Utilize proper knife skills for cutting fish, vegetables, and other ingredients efficiently.
• Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi creations or seasonal offerings.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food safety practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation.
• Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools, particularly knives for sushi preparation.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members.
• A passion for Japanese cuisine and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
