We’re seeking a motivated and results-driven Territory Sales Representative to drive sales growth, build strong customer relationships, and contribute to the success of our sales team. This role is responsible for achieving sales goals within a defined territory through regular client visits, new customer acquisition, and exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel independently within assigned territory to visit current and prospective customers
- Demonstrate and promote products using samples and catalogs; highlight key features and benefits
- Provide accurate pricing quotes, product information, and credit terms
- Stay informed about new products, pricing changes, and company updates
- Manage collections, follow-ups, and resolve customer concerns
- Participate in pre-pack order check-ins, lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback
- Develop specific sales and pricing strategies for each account
- Maintain regular customer contact and follow a structured weekly call plan
- Consistently prospect for new business opportunities
- Prepare timely sales forecasts and activity reports
- Attend district/regional meetings and ongoing training as required
- Maintain strong communication with internal teams, managers, factory reps, and customers
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a sales-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong knowledge of products, services, and sales techniques
- Excellent time management, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation for regular in-person customer visits and meetings
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and participate in physical activities related to customer support
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 2+ years of B2B foodservice sales experience
- Familiarity with SAP systems
- Experience working with diverse client accounts and territory sales planning
