Experienced Accountant Jobs in OSI LaserDiode Edison, NJ

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze site-level financial statements, journal entries, and inventory reserve reports
• Review financial results with local department leaders and corporate finance; submit consolidated reports
• Assist with monthly forecasts, annual budgeting, and financial modeling
• Support general accounting tasks such as accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), credit card reconciliations, and inventory cycle count reporting
• Maintain petty cash, manage filing duties, and provide backup support to local finance team
• Act as a financial advisor to site leadership, offering insight and guidance to improve business performance
• Coordinate with IT and other departments to align financial systems and processes
• Respond to ad hoc financial analysis or reporting requests from local and corporate management

• Follow all corporate policies, including Code of Ethics and Conduct, and support quality assurance initiatives
• Perform additional duties as needed to support evolving business needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required
• MBA or CPA designation highly preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in general accounting roles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate financial reporting standards
• Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, or durable goods industries preferred
• Proficient with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Navision strongly desired
• Familiarity with financial systems such as Hyperion, Essbase, Oracle, SAP, etc.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to create management-ready presentations in PowerPoint
• Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights to senior management confidently
• Collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional, global environment
• Flexibility to support meetings across multiple time zones, including early or late hours when needed
