Full Time Assistant Store Manager Jobs in Journeys Santa Clara, CA

 The Co-Manager assists the Store Manager and Manager In Training with recruiting, hiring, training, and managing store personnel in order to achieve both store-wide and individual sales goals. This role helps control operating expenses and ensures the protection of company assets through effective supervision and policy adherence.

Essential Job Functions:

• Achieve and exceed both store and personal sales targets
• Assist with hiring employees to meet store staffing needs
• Support in training and developing a high-performing sales team
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and accountability to team members
• Enforce all company policies and procedures consistently
• Implement company initiatives as directed and maintain corporate standards
• Identify and develop team members for internal growth opportunities
• Oversee daily store operations in the absence of Store Manager or Manager In Training
• Manage store-level loss prevention practices when leadership is absent
• Communicate all operational needs and concerns to leadership team
• Effectively resolve customer service issues
• Deliver a full-service, enjoyable customer experience
• Handle banking responsibilities, including deposits
• Represent and promote the company culture and values

Job Requirements:

• Previous retail management experience preferred
• 6–12 months of prior retail sales experience
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• High motivation to succeed in a fast-paced retail setting
• Willingness and ability to learn company procedures and systems
• Completion of company training programs required for Co-Manager position (or equivalent)
• Availability to work up to 45 hours per week
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends
• Physical requirements include the ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for extended periods
• Must be at least 18 years of age
