Senior Accountant Jobs in Deque Systems, Inc Herndon, VA

Deque Systems is seeking a Senior Accountant to primarily maintain the accounting and financial reporting for Deque’s foreign subsidiaries using generally accepted accounting principles. Additional responsibilities will be to support all functions of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will possess intercompany accounting knowledge, an eye for detail, multi-tasking abilities and a team player mentality.

Responsibilities:

• Report and reconcile intercompany transactions for foreign subsidiaries on a monthly basis
• Assist management in the month-end and annual accounting close process including consolidation of all entities
• Support account receivables including invoicing for subsidiaries as well as parent company
• Maintain reports in Sage Intacct accounting software
• Prepare, maintain, and submit VAT reporting and filing for foreign subsidiaries
• Perform data compilation and analysis using Google Sheets
• Participate in the day-to-day accounting operations
• Help maintain a documented system of accounting procedures
  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Intercompany transaction experience with foreign subsidiaries
• Experience with Sage Intacct software preferred
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards a plus
• 2-4 years of general ledger accounting
• Must be a highly organized self-starter and be able to operate independently
• Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrate ability to work as part of a fast pace, high performance company environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google’s G Suite
