Medical Senior Accountant (CPA ) Jobs in QApel Medical, Inc Fremont, CA

Q’Apel is looking for a Senior Accountant to support our Finance team. This new position will be responsible for a variety of finance and accounting and areas. Responsibilities require knowledge in general accounting and GAAP.

What you will be doing:

• Prepare budget vs actual analysis monthly.
• Work closely with our international operations team to effectively account for revenue and inventory international transactions.
• Prepare inventory, warranty reserve, and royalty accrual analyses, and work with others for inputs.
• Prepare month-end close reconciliations for fixed assets, lease liabilities, as well as other month-end reconciliations.
• Form 571L filings.
• Maintain and ensure the company is in compliance with state filings.
• Interface with external auditors and assist in the annual audits.
• Cross-train with AP, AR, and other functions.
• Participate in other accounting and/or projects as necessary.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, with a CPA preferred.
• 2-3 years of audit experience or industry experience in the medical device industry.
• Strong GAAP accounting and analytical skills.
• Experience in Oracle NetSuite is highly desired.
• Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Excel skills required.
• The capacity to analyze financial data, identify issues, and propose solutions is crucial. Problem-solving skills are especially important when addressing discrepancies, implementing process improvements, or troubleshooting accounting system issues.
• Clear and effective communication is essential, both in written reports and verbal discussions.
