Mercadien is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Outsourced Accounting and CFO Services practice. In this dynamic role, you’ll provide outsourced accounting solutions to a diverse client base—particularly in the non-profit sector—while working closely with firm partners and directors who serve as outsourced CFOs.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with monthly financial close processes and ensure accurate, timely reporting
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Analyze financial data, including cash flow, budget vs. actuals, and financial indicators
• Maintain and update chart of accounts and accounting processes
• Support and help manage the client accounting team
• Prepare monthly financial statements for clients
• Assist with annual audits by working with external auditors
• Help clients enhance their accounting controls and internal reporting systems

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus
• Experience with non-profit clients required
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting platforms
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Forward-thinking and solutions-oriented, with excellent time and task management
• Ability to multi-task and meet multiple client deadlines with professionalism
• Strong financial analysis and problem-solving abilities
