 We are seeking a talented and experienced Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate is passionate about Japanese cuisine, possesses strong knife skills, and consistently delivers visually appealing and flavorful sushi creations. This role plays a key part in maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation in a dynamic, guest-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present sushi items according to traditional techniques and house standards.
• Ensure freshness and proper handling of all sushi-grade ingredients.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary sushi bar and prep area at all times.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure timely service and consistency.
• Contribute to menu development, including seasonal and specialty items.
• Follow food safety protocols and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations.
• Interact with guests in a courteous and knowledgeable manner when appropriate, providing an engaging dining experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Prior experience as a Sushi Chef or in a related culinary role strongly preferred.
• Proficient in sushi preparation, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls.
• Demonstrated knife expertise and ingredient handling skills.
• Knowledge of Japanese culinary traditions and food safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen.
• Strong sense of aesthetics and attention to presentation.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
