Accountant Job Description

Reporting directly to the Controller, you’ll play a key role in all accounting and financial reporting functions. You’ll guide the company through its first-year audit, bring technical accounting and revenue recognition knowledge to the table, and serve as a trusted business partner to cross-functional teams. Responsibilities:

Lead accounting operations and support the company’s first external audit
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, including revenue recognition and technical accounting standards
Prepare accurate financial statements and documentation
Partner with internal teams to deliver financial insights and support strategic decisions
Assist in the implementation of improved processes, controls, and systems as the company scales
Collaborate with leadership to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling
Continuously evaluate and improve the financial reporting structure and internal controls

Qualifications:

3+ years of progressive audit and/or accounting experience (Big 4 public accounting strongly preferred)
CPA required
Strong understanding of revenue recognition and technical accounting standards
Coachable, curious, and eager to grow within a dynamic company
Exceptional communicator and relationship builder, with the ability to partner across all levels and departments
Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving
