 The Store Manager oversees all aspects of a high-volume retail operation, leading a team to meet revenue goals through efficient processing and sale of donated goods. This role ensures effective execution of daily store functions—receiving, sorting, pricing, merchandising, and customer service—while supporting Goodwill’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and motivate staff to meet production goals (minimum 110 garments/hour with 90% quality standard).
• Maintain a steady flow of merchandise to the sales floor each day.
• Hire, train, coach, develop, and lead store employees to achieve operational goals.
• Conduct interviews daily, source candidates through NetRecruiter, and complete onboarding paperwork.
• Enforce performance standards with coaching, evaluations, discipline, and corrective actions.
• Ensure safety compliance: conduct drills, report incidents, and oversee facility maintenance with online work tickets.
• Oversee receiving, pricing, and display of merchandise.
• Manage store opening/closing, cash handling, safe audits, register balancing, and profit & loss review.
• Promote a clean, safe, and positive store environment to enhance customer experience and brand image.
• Perform all store tasks including cashiering, donation receiving, sorting, pricing, cleaning, etc.
• Coordinate daily operational needs with transportation and district management.
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure full donation processing each day.
• Lead daily walkthroughs, team huddles, and regular store meetings.
• Manage store budget including production, revenue, payroll, and expenses.
• Set and track KPIs for team; analyze sales and performance data for effectiveness.
• Ensure store cleanliness by mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash, and maintaining restrooms.
• Work one Sunday per month, two closing shifts per week (alternating Friday/Saturday closings), and rotate weekends with leadership.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required; some college or leadership training preferred.
• 1–2 years of management experience required; 5+ years in retail management preferred.
• Background in retail sales, production, manufacturing, or assembly is a plus.
• Reliable transportation required; must pass MVR check.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, liability insurance, and inspection sticker.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power BI.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
