We’re looking for a driven and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead the daily operations of our retail store. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, motivates their team, and consistently delivers outstanding customer experiences. You'll be responsible for managing people, processes, and performance to ensure smooth operations and exceed business goals.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Oversee all aspects of store operations, including opening/closing, staff scheduling, and inventory control
- Hire, train, and develop team members to ensure exceptional performance and customer service
- Drive store profitability by monitoring sales, setting goals, and motivating your team to exceed targets
- Deliver a superior in-store experience by resolving customer issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain store presentation, organization, and stock levels in line with visual merchandising standards
- Analyze sales data and provide regular performance reports to senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
- Manage store budgets and expenses to optimize profitability
- Guide customers in selecting gear based on their needs and preferences
- Handle merchandise transactions, returns, and customer inquiries
- Monitor and maintain the general appearance and cleanliness of the store
- Lead the team’s workflow—ensuring task delegation, staff coverage, and coordination with other store managers when needed
- Assess team member performance, offering coaching and identifying areas for improvement
- Meet business targets and deadlines while maintaining high performance standards
- Maintain and evaluate inventory levels; recommend in-store product selection and purchasing
- Collaborate with the Director of Customer Operations on promotional campaigns and in-store events
- Participate in weekly performance reviews with the Director of Customer Operations to evaluate team metrics, store performance, and customer feedback
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s in Business or related field preferred)
- Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or similar leadership role
- 2–3 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory control
- Strong knowledge of cameras and related gear is highly preferred
- Experience in buying—especially electronics or camera equipment—is a strong plus
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and comfort working cross-functionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
- Experience using POS systems and familiarity with lean organization practices (e.g., 5S)
- Ability to reconcile shipping documentation such as packing slips and bills of lading
- A customer-first mindset with a commitment to providing an exceptional in-store experience
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
