 The Store Manager oversees all aspects of a high-volume retail operation, leading a team to achieve revenue goals through efficient processing and sale of donated goods. This role ensures smooth daily store operations—including receiving, sorting, pricing, merchandising, and customer service—while upholding and promoting Goodwill’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and motivate staff to meet production goals (110 garments/hour at 90% quality
• Maintain a steady and consistent flow of merchandise to the sales floor.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop store employees to meet performance standards.
• Conduct daily interviews, utilize NetRecruiter, and complete onboarding documentation.
• Administer performance evaluations, coaching, discipline, and corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures; conduct drills and submit incident reports and facility maintenance tickets.
• Oversee all aspects of merchandise intake, pricing, tagging, and display.
• Manage store opening and closing routines, including cash handling, safe audits, and P&L statement reviews.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment that enhances the customer experience.
• Participate in all store operations, including cashiering, donation intake, sorting, pricing, cleaning, and organizing.
• Coordinate logistics and daily needs with transportation and district leadership.
• Create and manage weekly employee schedules ensuring complete donation processing daily.
• Lead store walkthroughs, daily team huddles, and regular staff meetings.
• Monitor and manage store performance against production, revenue, payroll, and expense budgets.
• Set and track team KPIs and analyze sales and performance data to improve efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety by performing and supervising routine cleaning tasks (mopping, dusting, trash removal, restroom cleaning).
• Work one Sunday/month, two evening closing shifts/week (including alternating Friday or Saturday), and rotate weekends with the leadership team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; some college or leadership training preferred.
• 1–2 years of management experience required; 5+ years in retail management preferred.
• Background in retail, production, manufacturing, or assembly leadership preferred.
• Reliable transportation required; must pass MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) check.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, liability insurance, and inspection sticker.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power BI).
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
