Childcare Teacher - Daycare Assistant Jobs in The School House Academy Atlanta, GA

The Assistant Teacher will work collaboratively with lead teachers and other staff members to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children. Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized attention and support to children based on their needs and abilities
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, including sanitizing toys, equipment, and surfaces regularly
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times
• Collaborate with other staff members and communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
• Support lead teachers in documenting children's learning and development through observations and assessments
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in early childhood education
• Follow all licensing regulations, center policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and quality care

Qualifications:

• While a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification is recommended, it is not required
• However, we prefer candidates with two or more years of experience in early childhood education
• The ideal candidate will be committed to continuing their educational training and staying updated on best practices in childcare
• Minimum of two years of experience working in a childcare setting
• Passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Dedication to continuing education and professional development in early childhood education
