The Assistant Store Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Store Manager with overseeing sales, operations, asset protection, and human resources functions to deliver an exceptional customer experience and drive store profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare weekly staff schedules to ensure adequate floor coverage while adhering to budget and fiscal guidelines. Review and submit accurate payroll documentation, including timesheets.
• Promote excellent customer service by ensuring associates greet and assist customers; respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and complaints.
• Supervise associates involved in sales, inventory management, cash reconciliation, and customer service.
• Lead by example in meeting sales goals through effective product knowledge sharing and customer engagement; assist customers with merchandise selections and locating products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment through strong housekeeping and merchandising standards.
• Train staff on visual merchandising techniques to ensure consistent presentation quality.
• Monitor associate sales activities and productivity, provide performance feedback, motivate, and coach staff to maximize their potential.
• Oversee all financial procedures including cash handling, price adjustments, and register transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Manage operational processes such as inventory receiving, stock replenishment, and physical inventory counts.
• Ensure store facilities are maintained for safety and efficiency, addressing operational issues as needed.
• Support compliance with legal requirements, loss prevention policies, and internal controls; provide training to reinforce these standards.
• Assist with recruiting, hiring, and developing store associates; analyze performance metrics and support the Store Manager in appraisals and evaluations.
