The San Diego Rescue Mission is built on beliefs that speak to the heart. We believe this is more than a job, that it’s a calling to love our neighbors and those in need the way that Jesus would. In our programs, we create a holistic approach to recovery and rehabilitation while ensuring that our building is a safe haven for men, women and children who have experienced homelessness.
Core Responsibilities:
- Understand and utilize all the features of the software
- Create standards and processes for data entry and management
- Run queries, analyze data and produce meaningful reports and presentations. Use data to design strategies to improve business initiatives
- Troubleshoot all issues, so that data is clean and useable
- Organize documentation for easy access and maximum efficiency across department
- Create and monitor a weekly dashboard to measure against departmental goals
- Stay abreast of software updates and lead/train team
- Produce mailing lists based on segmentation profiles
Help Organize, Manage, and Lead Volunteer Events:
- Oversee volunteer projects, including check-in and SDRM orientation
- Create promotional materials
- Prepare rooms for events and work with sound assistants on A/V needs
Support our Marketing Efforts:
- Create marketing materials (banners, brochures, flyers, social media posts, HTML emails)
- Represent the Mission at local church events such as VBS and ministry fairs
- Assist with short videos
- Represent our Mission, Vision and Values and continue to grow as a follower of Jesus Christ and Spiritual Leader:
- Spend time daily in God’s word and in prayer
- Model servant leadership
- Pursue our values both privately and publicly
- Foster a coachable, approachable, humble spirit
Experience:
- Some college preferred.
- Must be web-savvy with good technical knowledge of databases and query language.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Logical approach to problem solving and ability to FIO (figure it out).
- Detail oriented.
- Experience with individuals experiencing homelessness a plus.
- Nonprofit or church ministry experience a plus.
- Experience with Excel, Canva and Mailchimp preferred.
