Senior Accountant

• We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our rapidly growing Accounting team. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player with strong controllership mindset, attention to detail and organizational skills. This position will report to the Group Accounting Manager and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) generating periodic journal entries and performing month end reconciliations as well as assisting with reporting and forecasting. A key part of this role will be providing controllership oversight to selected entities as well as own specific financial processes across the organization. The entities will rotate within the team over time providing the candidate a comprehensive overview of the entire organization. The role requires partnering with other members in the Finance Department.

Responsibilities

• Generate month-end accruals with appropriate support
• Perform monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
• Manage intercompany transactions and month-end balances across multiple entities
• Assist with Consolidations, Investment / Equity accounting and eliminations, as necessary
• Calculate month-end royalties
• Assist with monthly close process and reporting
• Meet processing and reporting deadlines
• Prepare monthly cash forecasting
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures, recommended changes
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data updates to enhance the accounting software.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
• 8+ years of related accounting experience
• Experience in investment and equity accounting for financial industry as well as a strong understanding of consolidations and reporting
• Shared Services Center experience a plus
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Data driven with a Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience or other large ERP system experience
• Proficient excel skills required; Sequel skills a plus
• Collaborative with Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage fast-paced environment
