QA Engineer Job Description

Location: Remote / Hybrid (Client locations across the US)

Job Description:

We are actively looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing test cases, identifying bugs, collaborating with developers, and ensuring high-quality software deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze user stories and requirements to develop effective test strategies.
Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases.
Report and track software defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
Perform regression, functional, integration, and system testing.
Collaborate with developers and business analysts to resolve issues.
Maintain QA documentation and test results for audits and reviews.

Required Skills:

3+ years of QA experience in web or mobile application testing.
Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC, test case design, and defect lifecycle.
Experience with manual testing and familiarity with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
Proficiency in test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or qTest.
Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.
Basic understanding of SQL and ability to validate backend data.
Familiar with version control tools like Git.

Good to Have:

Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/Azure).

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
