Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, measuring, and portioning according to recipe requirements
• Assemble dumpling fillings, sauces, and other menu components with care and consistency
• Label, date, and store all prepped items in accordance with freshness and safety standards
• Set up and break down prep stations efficiently at the start and end of each shift
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, including equipment and tools
• Follow all food safety guidelines and Ugly Dumpling’s standardized recipes
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure prep supports timely and smooth service
• Assist with other kitchen duties including dishwashing or line cooking during peak hours
• Communicate shortages, equipment issues, or concerns to management promptly

Qualifications:

• Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred but not required
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of kitchen tools and equipment a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation protocols
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and work under time pressure
• Physically able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
