The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department. Performs data entry into Human Resource Information System and prepares personnel files and new hire packages. Helps conduct new hire orientation. Maintains, processes and facilitates first level requests for information. Maintains and updates reports, new employee documents, orientation, timesheets, tuition reimbursements, and applicant files. Will assist with special projects, file retention, and compliance reporting. Review, verify and calculate OTLEP requests.
Prepare retirement worksheets.
Create and maintain personnel files.
Prepare Employee Profile Forms for retirement and separations.
Process notifications, mailings and communication materials for employees and retirees.
Assist with file retention and compliance.
Audit and reconcile timesheets for retirements, leave requests, and separations as needed.
Under the direction of the Associate HR Generalist, responsible for conducting HR audits such as I-9 forms and personnel records.
Provides coverage for the HR Solution Center.
Respond to employee inquiries.
Assist with processing tuition reimbursements
Performs special projects. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required. Associate or Bachelors degree preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of related administrative experience required; preferable within the field of Human Resources. Must have experience performing clerical duties in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organization, interpersonal, customer service and computer skills required (MS Office /Excel).
Must be able to multi-task and handle sensitive and confidential material.
Must have the ability to prioritize duties and demonstrate initiative.
