Serve as administrative support and representative for the Cardiology Research team in respect to preparing for meetings, conferences and travel, editing and tracking correspondence, filing and retrieving information. Coordinate office services for faculty and their labs in the Cardiology Research. Maintains electronic calendar for department faculty. Coordinates and implements office services such as purchasing, records control, and projects. Monthly reconciliation of budgets. Assists with preparation of grants, contracts, FDA submissions. Locates and compiles information and formats reports, graphs, tables, records and other sources of information. Purchase equipment and supplies as needed. Maintains an organized filing system. Acts as the visa liaison between Private Investigators and the Medical Education Administrator, which will include: visa tracking, helping to collect all necessary documentation, emailing reminders of expiration dates, communicating to the Medical Education Administrator and Private Investigators all visa updates. Works independently. Determines priorities and maintains a high degree of professionalism. On a regular and continuous basis, exercises administrative judgment and assumes responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results having an impact on people, costs, and/or quality of service within the functional area. Exchanges non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate requiring good oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. Three years of related experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis.
