We are a premium South Indian vegetarian restaurant opening soon in the Atlanta area. Our mission is to bring the soul of South Indian home-style cooking to a refined dining experience. With signature dishes like dosa, idli, vada, pongal, bisibele bath, kara bath, kesari bath, and freshly brewed filter coffee, we aim to create a menu that honors tradition and excites the senses.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Executive Chef with deep expertise in South Indian vegetarian cuisine. The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience preparing traditional tiffins, rice-based meals, and sweets, and be capable of leading a kitchen that values both speed and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee the daily execution of South Indian vegetarian dishes to the highest standards.
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all menu items.
• Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering a culture of professionalism and culinary excellence.
• Oversee inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships—especially for regional ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen in accordance with Georgia health regulations.
• Collaborate with ownership on menu refinement, seasonal specials, and process improvements.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a chef specializing in South Indian vegetarian cuisine.
• Strong command over key dishes such as dosa (including different types), idli, vada, pongal, bisibele bath, upma variants, and sweets like kesari bath.
• Experience in fermentation processes, tawa cooking, sambhar and chutney preparation, and filter coffee techniques.
• Team leadership and communication skills.
• Strong time management and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
