The Senior Accountant reviews and approves the operational expense activities to achieve business and our goals. This is a hybrid role and main challenges involve working with each department to obtain operational expense information for financial forecasting, reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. Additionally, a focus on Procure-to-Pay process improvement and finding solutions to meet challenges of scaling the business and achieving operational efficiency.

What You'll Do:

• Help achieve 2-day month end closing through collaboration with Finance team and other departments, following all company policies and procedures.
• Update monthly management reporting and provide detailed insight on business cycle and budget variance analysis for operational expenses.
• Prepare and record monthly accruals for general expenses and employee expenses.
• Perform weekly uploads of virtual card transactions and preparing monthly reconciliation.
• Ownership over all non-payroll related operational expenses. Managing and handling the Procure to
• Pay cycle, including Accounts Payable, Employee Expense Reimbursement and Expense Accruals.
• Manage Accounts Payable activities for proper approvals, invoice capture, expense allocations and ensuring payment of company vendors.
• Oversee employee expense reimbursement process and work with outsourced company for and accountable approval.
• Responsible for virtual card platform to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Collaboration with Marketing team to achieve appropriate recording of expenses and payment of invoices, with a focus on budget and expense policy compliance.
• Partner with global Finance team to achieve forecasting and reporting of expenses on North America business support departments activities, to ensure budgeting and reporting requirements are met.
• Cross-functional collaboration across different global teams to continue improvement of Procure to Pay process to meet our goals regarding scalability and efficiency in the Americas and Globally
• Provide detailed financial analysis of historical spend and budget variance to main department stakeholders, with a common goal of making better decisions to meet goals.
• Work with internal team and global Finance team , through automation and efficient monthly transaction processing.
• Main involvement with documentation of expense policies and Procure to Pay procedures.
  
  

Who You Are:

• Determined to grow within the Finance team and creatively making this role your own within US and Global teams.
• 3+ years of experience with US GAAP Financial Accounting.
• 5+ years of experience producing financial reports, performing reconciliations, relationship between P&L and Balance Sheet.
• Experience with the Procure to Pay cycle in system and process improvements.
• Proficient in excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and find ways to improve transaction processing.
• Working knowledge of Netsuite or similar accounting software. Comfort with building reporting and tools to achieve efficiency.
• Comfortable with continuous changes.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
