As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will lead critical reporting processes and support cross-functional initiatives in compliance, audit, and regulatory response. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate, timely financial disclosures and supports Oscar Health’s broader accounting and compliance objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quarterly and Year-End Close
• Lead the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes.
• Prepare financial statement disclosures and perform variance analytics.
• Manage coordination and execution of year-end audit processes.
• Stay current on new accounting guidance and evaluate its potential impact on reporting.
• Support responses to regulator inquiries in partnership with Regulatory Relations and other internal teams.
• Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting workflows and systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting or financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or 4 years of relevant work experience).
• CPA license preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working with U.S.-based insurance companies.
• 2+ years of hands-on financial reporting experience.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience at a health insurance company in a similar reporting or accounting role.
• Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to work effectively across departments.
