Full Time Finance Manager Jobs in Dow Jones New York, NY

You will work closely with business partners to help achieve the financial and operational goals. You will report to the Senior Director, Finance, Dow Jones Energy based in our NYC office.

Responsibilities:

• Review, prepare, and manage comprehensive cost budgets and forecasts through annual Budget, Long Range Plan, and Monthly Outlook cycles. This includes developing new financial models and streamlining existing processes to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage month-end close processes with a primary focus on cost analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with accounting and FP&A teams on accruals, reclasses, etc. to ensure accurate monthly and quarterly ledger.
• Maintain dashboards and performance reports with a focus on cost variances and trending analyses to monitor and explain performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Work closely with HR and business partners to create a headcount tracking process to achieve cross-team alignment and accurately forecast associated expense.
• Assist in the creation, collection, and reporting of KPIs.
• Lead ad-hoc financial analysis and projects to meet financial or business requests.
• Monitor and report on the cost performance of acquisitions compared to deal expectations, providing detailed analysis to guide post-merger integration and cost optimization.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of relevant Finance experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically with attention to detail.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of business partners.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to distill financial insights into clear business recommendations.
• The ability to handle multiple projects, as a Self-Starter, simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience in Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Docs).
• A Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field (preferred).
