Development Manager Jobs in Mother's Outreach Network Washington, DC

Responsibilities:

• Support the creation of the annual development plan
• Provide ongoing input on potential tactics to generate new leads and close any suspected funding gaps
• Coordinate with sponsors and partners to fulfill any requirements of gifts
• Ensure alignment between development and broader Marketing/communications at organization
• Manage the organization’s donor database and gift pipeline, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Implement cultivation and stewardship plans and ensure any next steps or tasks are completed for current or future donation opportunities
• Generate monthly and quarterly progress-to-goal reports
• Provide data and reports for annual budgeting process
• Oversee gift processing
• Generate development reports for board meetings
• Individual, Major Gifts, Corporate and Foundation Relations
• Strategize and design individual giving appeals
• Draft the stewardship plan and execute it once approved
• Manage grants deadlines and writing process to ensure timely proposal submissions
• Support grant writing and reporting as needed
• Manage and implement the strategy for major events
• Support the securing of sponsors for any major events or programs
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2-5 years development or nonprofit experience
• Passion for racial justice and our community
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Working knowledge of DonorPerfect or similar donor database a plus
• Organized project manager who can follow-through
• Strong writer who can craft messages tailored to audience
• Proven ability to meet multiple deadlines and work independently and in a team
• Excellent personal relationship skills
