Experienced Senior Accountant Jobs in Pharmscript, LLC Somerset, NJ

 We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our PharmScript team within our Accounting & Finance department. The ideal candidate would have a strong background in generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting, along with excellent analytics and problem-solving skills. This role will be involved in our monthly close procedures and financial reporting. We are on a hybrid work schedule with 3 days required in office.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate postings of various general ledger activity including revenue reporting process and lease accounting entries.
• Prepare weekly account receivable aging and collection reports.
• Prepare and record certain asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review ad-hoc excel schedules and provide other requested documentation related to areas as needed.
• Assist with the data preparation and maintenance of records related to the company’s unclaimed property remittances.
• Review vendor invoices for proper accounting treatment and perform monthly revenue posting and daily cash receipt reconciliations.
• Gain an understanding of the daily operational workflow and review Accounts Payable invoices for final approval before clerical entry.
• Ability to work independently, and as part of a team, within the day to day activities of the Accounting Department.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Accounting degree required
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant accounting experience required including work experience in private industry.
• CPA preferred
• CPA Firm experience preferred
• Experience utilizing finance/accounting systems preferred;
• Knowledge of Great Plains accounting software is a plus.
