MANUFACTURING/PACKAGING MECHANIC Jobs in On Target Staffing LLC East Brunswick, NJ

BASIC FUNCTION: Mechanics are responsible to maintain equipment involved in the manufacturing and packaging of Blends, Tablets, Capsules, Powders and Liquids.

The pay rate is $28hr-$35hr depending on experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Maintain the assigned equipment safely in manufacturing/packaging areas.

· Follow all manufacturer-recommended maintenance techniques in maintaining equipment in good operating conditions at all times.

· Ensures that the correct parts and recommended components are used while repairing equipment.

· Ensure all tools / defective parts of the equipment are returned after completion of maintenance on the equipment.

· Follow Lock Out Tag out techniques while performing maintenance on the equipment.

· Maintain documents related to PM, breakdown maintenance, and validation protocols.

· Check the equipment setup of the equipment is accurate.

· Train the machine operators in setup and safe operation of the equipment.

· Responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly work area at all times

· Report all accidents and unsafe conditions or unusual circumstances to the supervisor and/ or manager

· Trouble shoot and correct mechanical / electrical and electronical problems of equipment.

· Identify and report safety related issues to the department supervisor

· Must be in compliance at all times by following equipment manuals, cGMP, and all company policies

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience in a GMP regulated environment and mush have worked as a mechanic for manufacturing and packaging equipment.

· Ability to document in logbooks or PM records while performing the job using good documentation practices.

· Ability to understand and follow equipment manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

· Minimum High school Diploma or equivalent industrial experience.

· Ability to operate manual pallet jacks to transfer material to designated areas from and to the warehouse

· SAFETY FIRST AT ALL TIMES while maintaining and/ or operating the machine(s)

· Ability to lift / move 50 pounds

· Ability to stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours per day, 4-6 days a week)

· In accordance with FDA regulations and company policies individual must be free from illness that could jeopardize the safety or quality of product. Such illness may include, but are not limited to, illness that cause bleeding, open lesions, flaking or peeling skin.
