Territory Sales ManagerAtlanta

Sales Manager Job Description

Territory Sales Manager to manage and grow business within the North Georgia region. This role is responsible for driving sales growth through account development, customer support, and execution of strategic sales initiatives. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in building products, and a strong understanding of dealer/distribution channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow relationships with existing accounts while identifying opportunities for expansion
  • Establish new customer accounts and build a sustainable pipeline
  • Study market trends and customer volume potential by segment
  • Utilize structured call planning to maintain territory coverage and maximize sales impact
  • Present and promote surface solutions to prospective customers through customized sales presentations
  • Assist with pre- and post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Recommend pricing adjustments within company guidelines based on market and competitive analysis
  • Represent the company at trade shows, promotional events, and educational seminars
  • Conduct competitive analysis to monitor industry trends, pricing, and new product developments
  • Evaluate customer concerns, resolve issues promptly, and provide solutions to management as needed
  • Submit accurate weekly sales reports, forecasts, and territory updates
  • Maintain detailed customer records, profiles, and territory performance metrics
  • May be required to conduct AIA (American Institute of Architects) presentations

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of direct B2B sales experience, preferably in the building materials industry
  • Experience in dealer/distributor or two-step distribution channels strongly preferred
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of competitive brands and industry trends
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50%+ travel within assigned territory)
