Responsible for the daily preparation, cooking and plating of all food orders in an efficient, safe, and attractive manner.

Job Tasks:

• Maintain a positive, respectful attitude at all times
• Perform food preparation duties when needed
• Check food for quality and presentation before serving
• Ensure food is handled in a sanitary manner
• Set up stations according to restaurant guidelines
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by Chickies & Petes. All food items must be prepared according to the Menu Build.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout shift
• Cleans/maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills
• Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas
• Ensure proper temperatures are maintained on cooking and refrigeration equipment
• Communicate effectively with the Expeditor
• Awareness of food allergies and possible areas of cross contamination
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings
• Additional tasks as assigned

Main Responsibilities:

• Must consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet Guests’ needs and respond quickly without losing focus or projecting a mood that detracts from the Guests’ overall dining experience.
• Must clearly communicate in a professional manner with Guests, vendors, coworkers and management. They must understand instructions, read written company memorandums and communicate when he or she needs more direction or training.
• Interpersonal Relationships: Must adapt to different personalities of Guests and coworkers without losing focus.

• General accounting and math skills required along with point-of-sale application knowledge. Must use logic and reasoning to identify solutions and alternatives for a successful outcome to problems.
• Must correctly operate various mechanical devices such as POS systems, credit card machines, mixers and hot beverage makers.
• Quality Control and Priority Assessment: Must evaluate current practices and processes; immediately recognize potential areas of conflict; and initiate ways to improve current business methods, quality of products and services provided.
• Must have ability to speak and write English effectively.
• Willing to assist with the workload of others when needed and take on additional responsibilities that may be assigned at any given time based on volume of business, staffing, etc.
