Cashier Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

Greet customers warmly and courteously
Engage with customers, ask about their projects, recommend products, and build excitement around their purchase
Deliver exceptional customer service and go above and beyond to exceed expectations
Understand and follow the company’s safety processes
Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to complete transactions
Process returns and refunds in accordance with company guidelines
Open and close registers, maintaining accurate cash handling procedures
Answer incoming calls professionally and according to company standards
Assist with stocking, tagging, and displaying merchandise
