Senior Accountant Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Accounting Professional to support our Virtual Power Plant (VPP) business operations. This hybrid role is based in our open office environment (3 days onsite) and offers opportunities to engage across multiple departments including Corporate Accounting, Operations, and Audit.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze VPP contracts and assess related transaction and accounting flows.
Develop and document accounting processes in consultation with relevant departments.
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and quarterly close packages.
Coordinate audit responses and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Support system integration and certification tasks using tools like Cadency by Trintech.
Act as a cross-functional liaison and provide backup for broader accounting functions.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred).
Minimum 2 years’ experience in public/private accounting.
Knowledge of US GAAP and ERP systems (SAP, Hyperion preferred).
Strong Excel and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
