Kitchen Organized Cook Jobs in Newark Emergency Serv for Families Newark, NJ

This position is for a non-profit agency who serves underserved communities. Must be a motivated self Starter who has integrity and a Strang work ethics.

Responsibilities:

• Our cook must plan, prepare and cook food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for clients
• The cook must help keep the kitchen organized and running efficiently as well as ensure proper food handling, sanitation and following storage procedures
• 8 hour shift

Qualifications:

• Must be a motivated self-starter who has integrity and a strong work ethics
• This position requires an individual who is personable, has excellent customer service skills, and works both independently and as a part of a team
• Must have at least one year experience in cooking for large groups of people
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs
• And use electric and standard kitchen/cooking equipment
• Must be willing to successfully complete a food service training program
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
• Ability to work in a team
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures (grilling, baking, boiling, etc)
• Excellent physical condition and stamina
• 1 year
• Newark, NJ 07102: Relocate before starting work (Required)
