This position is responsible for making orders quickly and accurately, with correct portion size and plating. They also prep ingredients for the kitchen and maintain department and food safety / sanitation standards. Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary, Provides superior customer service at all times.
Presents the Customer with a sense of urgency around the accuracy, speed, and freshness of their order.
Provides detailed knowledge of menu items and specials
Culinary knowledge
Understanding of nutritional values and ingredients
Prepares, packages, and plates fresh product
Properly handles and maintains temperature integrity of all ingredients and product.
Properly handles and maintains the operation of all equipment
Assists in technical areas as needed
Prepackages condiments (sauces, dressings) for prepared food items
Compliance with departmental SOPS and store operating procedures
Cuts, slices, dices, chops, food in preparation for use in recipes
Maintains sanitation in food preparation areas.
Assists in multiple cooking venues. Must be 18 years of age
Function in a fast pace retail restaurant environment
Culinary certification or equivalent combination of culinary training and/or expertise
Typically requires related experience
Experience in food preparation and equipment required
Communication/Interpersonal skills
High school diploma (or equivalent)
Reading and Writing skills.
