A natural progression of the Syracuse Community Chest established in 1917, United Way of Central New York is a 501(c)3 that has been actively supporting the Central New York community for 90 years. United Way of Central New York's mission is to increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another. We strive to fulfill our mission by understanding the needs of our community, establishing strategic partnerships to mobilize resources, increasing donor engagement in caring for this community and focusing community investments to achieve measurable impact.
