Tripwire Interactive LLC are the developers of the award-winning "Red Orchestra" mod and games, as well as the new title "Killing Floor". The original Red Orchestra mod won Nvidia's "$1,000,000 Make Something Unreal" contest in 2003-4, followed by industry acclaim and many Mod of the Year awards. The team set up Tripwire Interactive LLC to capitalize on that success in 2005, releasing the retail version of Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 over Steam in March 2006. Since then the game has gone on to sell 400,000 units on PC and achieved a Metacritic rating of 81, making it a significant success.
