About The Motley Tones
The Motley Tones washed ashore at the Blackbeard Festival in Hampton, VA in 2010 after singing for the NC Renaissance Fair for 4 years prior. Helped by their friends Willoghby Caught of the Hysterical Pirate Show crew and Cap'n Dev'il of the Devilmen of Cape Feare, they have emerged as one of the most popular local street shows, entertaining adults and children alike with their unique blend of classical and folk harmonies and off-kilter sense of humor. We sing madrigals for the King by day, pub songs for the hoi polloi at night and love songs and sailor songs all day long.
