About Southeastern Center for the Enhancement of Learning (SCEL)
SCEL serves as a non-profit resource and training center for cognitive enrichment programs. The center is designed to train educators and other professionals in how to administer proven methods for enhancing one’s critical thinking skills and capacity to learn, and to provide cognitive enrichment programs in group or individual settings. SCEL is authorized to utilize materials and methods developed by Professor Reuven Feuerstein, the founder and director of the Feuerstein Institute (formerly known as the International Center for the Enhancement of Learning Potential- ICELP) in Jerusalem, Israel. As an authorized training center of the ICELP, the Southeastern Center is licensed to train and administer Feuerstein's Learning Propensity Assessment Device (LPAD), as well as Instrumental Enrichment (IE) Basic and Standard curricula.
