Founded in August of 2005 just outside Chicago, Polyera’s mission is to be the leading supplier of next-generation semiconductor materials and technologies. Polyera’s core technology enables the fabrication of semiconductor-based products on flexible substrates such as plastic using higher-throughput manufacturing techniques than traditional electronics. As a result, products such as flat panel displays or solar panels which were traditionally manufactured with glass can be made much lighter, thinner, and more robust, all at a lower cost.
