Dr. Keener earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Indiana University in 1994. Two years later, she received her Master’s Degree in Audiology from Purdue University and went on to gain her Doctorate in Audiology from A.T. Still University in 2007. Dr. Keener’s training focused on a wide field of expertise, including such categories as assessing hearing loss, conserving hearing ability and providing treatment for a number of hearing disorders. As a member of a number of professional Audiological Associations, Dr. Keener has become a valued member of her professional community over her nearly two-decade long career. Just a few of her industry associations include being a member of the Texas Academy of Audiology, the Academy of Doctors of Audiology and the American Academy of Audiology, among others. Dr. Keener is also privileged to be one of the few Audiologists in the entire country to be trained in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy. This relatively new method of treating Tinnitus has shown a success rate of more than 80%, and Dr. Keener received her training directly from the neuroscientist who developed the therapy.
