Many elders and adults with disabilities face loneliness every day. Social networks that they have spent their lifetimes building may have diminished, and family, if it exists, may live far away or be otherwise absent. It is FriendshipWorks’s ongoing mission to reduce isolation, preserve the dignity, and enhance the quality of life of Boston's older adults. We accomplish this through the dedicated efforts of our staff and volunteers who are there 52 weeks per year providing assistance and companionship to those who need it most.
