About Child-Friendly Faith Project
The Child-Friendly Faith Project is a national 501(c)(3) public charity begun by Janet Heimlich, author of 'Breaking Their Will: Shedding Light on Religious Child Maltreatment (Prometheus Books, 2011.) The CFFP educates the public about child abuse and neglect that is enabled by ideology and ignorance in the United States. It exposes problems, promotes healthy programs for children and families, and supports religious organizations in their efforts to nurture society's youngest members. Currently, the CFFP's key educational programs include annual conferences and the Care2.com petition for the Charter for Child-Friendly Faith. In addition, the organization is working with places of worship interested in taking part in its Child-Friendly Faith Communities designation program.
