The Catholic Pro-Life Committee, the Respect Life Ministry of the Diocese of Dallas, is devoted to ending abortion and restoring respect and legal protection for every human life. The CPLC carries out this mission, under the leadership of Executive Director Karen Garnett, through nine life-saving ministries serving the public: 1. Abortion AfterCare-Healing / The Rachel Ministries - serves men and women suffering from the trauma of abortion 2. Convert to Life / Sidewalk Counseling - offers prayer, guidance, and help for women and men considering abortion 3. Civic Action - seeks to inform voters and encourage lawmakers to support a culture of life 4. Parish Coordination - assists churches in implementing the Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities 5. Prayer - provides foundational support for all pro-life efforts 6. Project Gabriel - offers emotional support, practical help and spiritual guidance to mothers experiencing an unexpected pregnancy 7. Speakers Bureau - educates youth and adults
