About Butler Tech
Butler Tech has been helping Butler County youth and adults to achieve their dreams since 1975. Starting with the original high school building, D. Russel Lee Career-Technology Center, it was one of the first joint vocational school districts in the state of Ohio. The original program offerings emphasized mechanical, industrial, and office occupations, all housed in a single campus located south of Middletown on State Route 4. Over the intervening years, much has changed at Butler County's career-technical school. From a relatively few courses offered on a central campus, programming has expanded to include multiple offerings throughout Butler County. Butler Tech now operates over 190 satellite programs in ten associate school districts. This year, Butler Tech will deliver education to more than 27,000 high school and adult students.
