We serve nearly 85,000 students, and integral to that service are our employees. From teachers and administrators to support and maintenance staff, everyone is part of the AISD family. The idea of family permeates our district, and is reflected in the attitudes of our students. At SXSWedu 2015, we debuted “The Pride and Promise of Austin,” a film made up of short documentaries created by our students to show a day in their lives. Throughout many of the shorts, students highlighted how their school offered them a home and a sense of place.
