The HR Assistant will support the Human Resource Department by performing a wide range of administrative and professional duties including processing new hire paperwork for our interns and on-boarding paperwork for our volunteers, processing workers' compensation claims, overseeing the coordination of the tuition loan program, filing confidential documents in the human resources personnel files, providing reports for the Director of HR and the VP of HR and Knowledge Management, provide administrative support for the Director of HR and VP of HR and Knowledge Management and on an as needed basis fill in for the Receptionist at the front desk. The qualified candidate will possess:
Associates Degree with 2 years of administrative support experience or High School diploma with 4 years of administrative support experience
Excellent attention to detail
Strong follow through on projects and paperwork
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word
Excellent communication skills
Some Human Resources experience, including knowledge of Human Resources procedures (background checks, FMLA, Disability, Workers Compensation),
