Requirements We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our fast-paced department. This is a high visibility, high volume position that supports the department and helps maintain organization. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responding to general employee inquiries and requests ie (vacation policy, drafting employment verification letters, benefit, payroll and employee relations questions)
• Ensuring employees are on boarded and off boarded correctly i.e. (creating orientation and exit packets, sending out company wide notifications, setting up orientation, conducting Intern Orientation, unemployment benefits, creating off payroll forms )
• Updating employee data in Human Resource Information System (Ultipro)
• Processing invoices to be sent to A/P for payment
• Ensuring all offices are updated with current Labor Law Notices
• Assisting in Paycheck distribution
• Distributing and sending Human Resource Mail to appropriate team members/employees
• Greeting visitors and answering the Human Resource phone line
• Reports to the Human Resource Director
• Ensuring all confidential information is secured at end of each day
• Supporting Human Resource team with ad/hoc projects when needed
• Maintain employee files. Excellent organizational and follow up skills, including ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
• Candidates should work efficiently, adapt easily, and be able to multi-task
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and exceptional computer skills
• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
• Candidates should have the desire to learn about all aspects of HR
• Experience working with an HRIS database a plus
• Ability to learn policies and procedures quickly. 0-2 years
• Prior experience interning or working in a Human Resources setting preferred.
