The Pharmacy Manager oversees all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring exceptional service, regulatory compliance, and efficient prescription fulfillment. This leadership role supports staff, manages inventory, and delivers top-tier patient care and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and maintain a secure and HIPAA-compliant environment.
• Supervise staff to ensure courteous, professional service at the counter and over the phone.
• Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Counsel customers on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and insurance providers to ensure quality patient care.
• Supervise immunization administration (as permitted by state regulations).
• Manage pharmacy inventory, stock levels, and out-of-date items; prepare for physical inventory.
• Lead hiring, coaching, training, performance reviews, and schedule management in compliance with HR policies.
• Maintain accurate records and complete all required paperwork (third-party, controlled substances, recalls, audits).
• Prepare for and ensure compliance with audits and inspections.
• Represent the pharmacy in community marketing opportunities and regional initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
• Active Pharmacy License in good standing in the state of employment.
• Certified to administer immunizations in accordance with state requirements.
