Job Title: Business Analyst
Job Summary:
The Client is seeking a Business Analyst to support the development and enhancement of the Health Management System (HMS) electronic health record. This role involves requirements elicitation, software validation, documentation, testing, and coordination with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and technical teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate business requirement gathering sessions with SMEs, synthesizing ideas and providing documentation.
Validate documented requirements against business processes.
Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify software adherence to business requirements.
Identify and document opportunities to improve software workflows.
Prepare end-user documentation including release notes and process flows.
Monitor and report on development team performance and resource productivity.
Act as SME to support development team inquiries.
Define and document functional specifications and test plans.
Coordinate UAT assignments using change/configuration management systems.
Maintain compliance with departmental data security and confidentiality policies.
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of business analysis experience in Agile development.
1+ year facilitating Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions.
1+ year experience gathering/documenting user requirements.
1+ year software testing experience, including test cases and defect logging.
1+ year creating business/technical documentation (requirements, data flows, specs).
1+ year application development experience (preferably on a certified EHR product).
1+ year experience/education with HL7 standards (e.g., ADT, C-CDA).
1+ year working with databases and generating reports using SQL.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Microsoft Office for documentation.
Experience with change and configuration management systems.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to synthesize and document discussions clearly and concisely.
Deliverables:
Monthly delivery of business analyst services as outlined above.
Compliance:
Must comply with all departmental data security and confidentiality procedures.
Financial consequences for non-compliance with deliverables or data security policies.
