IT Support Engineer Job Description
Job Description:
- Configure, implement, and support Microsoft Windows server 2016 software and higher.
- Configure, implement, and support VMware ESX 7.0 and higher. This includes configuring and managing data stores/LUNs, deploying and altering virtual machines, managing
- virtual center activities, and troubleshooting support issue
- Configure, implement, and support hardware relating to virtualization. This includes Dell rack mounted servers and Dell Blade servers (MX7000 series).
- Plan, test and implement firmware, BIOS and security updates in a VMware environment, on Dell (or equivalent) hardware.
- Formulate conclusions about the state of the virtualization environment using third party virtualization reporting tools such as DOME, vROPS, and VirtualCenter.
- Possess knowledge of networking concepts from the physical layer through the operating system layer
